Moving from a negative mindset to a positive (efficiently) takes these steps:

Meditate for at least 5 minutes a day, as often as possible
When you meditate, focus on your breathe and not on your thoughts
Whenever your focus moves from your breathe to other thoughts, notice the new thoughts, and then move back to your breathe as your focus
After this mental training (of noticing your mind change focus), whenever you feel negative thoughts coming in or being said, notice those thoughts and then change them to positive thoughts.
Rinse and repeat until your thoughts are consistently positive.
As you can see, it isn’t very hard to move from a negative mindset to a positive one, but it will take some effort (very worth it) and it will take some time (common, you can take away some TV time, just 5 minutes!).
Remember, this is your first step into true confidence, so make sure you really have changed to a positive mindset – once your inner voice is your best friend, you can move on.
